James Head, a purple belt under Rafael Lovato Jr, headed to Las Vegas last week to try out for the hit reality television show ‘The Ultimate Fighter‘. He was among more than 300 people in attendance all trying to get one of the coveted 16 spots. TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) is a reality show produced by the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships) and hosted by UFC President Dana White. The Ultimate Fighter show has Mixed Martial Artists fight for a chance to have a 6 figure fight contract with the UFC. Over the past 11 seasons, TUF has produced names like Joe Stevenson, Josh Koscheck, Diego Sanchez, Roy ‘Country’ Nelson, Rashad Evans and many more. Lovato’s Jiu Jitsu believes that James Head will become one of the names synonymous with The Ultimate Fighter.
James is currently 6-1 as a professional fighter, winning his last fight in just 1:46 of the very first round by Tapout due to strikes.
