2010 No Gi World Championships!

Our Jiu Jitsu team has been hard at work training for the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federations (IBJJF) 2010 No-Gi World Championships which took place last week!  Our team went in strong and came back to Oklahoma with some serious hardware!

Our team’s final results are as follows:

  • Rafael Lovato Jr – Black Belt Heavyweight Champion
  • Justin Rader – Black Belt Featherweight Champion
  • James Puopolo – Brown Belt Super Heavy 3rd Place
  • James Head – Purple Belt Heavyweight 2nd Place
  • Shiloh Roberts – Purple Belt Master Medium Heavy 3rd Place, Open Class 2nd Place
  • Rob Wood – Purple Belt Middleweight 2nd Place
  • Eric Gerdes – Blue Belt Lightweight Champion
  • Robert Bebout – Blue Belt Master Medium Heavy 3rd Place

Congratulations to all of my teammates!

Rafael Lovato Jr made History at this tournament when he became the first American to win both the Gi and No-Gi World Championships.  This is a huge accomplishment.
